Foster care needed

People interested in opening their home to children who have either temporarily or permanently left their birth parents' homes because of abuse or neglect are invited to join the Boys & Girls Homes of NC Foster Care and Adoption Program.
An open house will be held Jan. 10 at Tanglewood Church at 2103 Rouse Road in Kinston, from 6-8 p.m.
A training program for prosective families will be held Mondays and Thursdays from 6-9 p.m., beginning Jan. 14
Children in the program range from infants to age 21. These children must leave their own families for a few weeks, a few months, or even several years. Juvenile or family courts give legal custody of children to the agency, which in turn places children in foster homes.
