Courses still open at WCC

Openings are still available in several medical training courses offered this spring by Wayne Community College's Continuing Education Division.
A health unit coordinator course, preparing students for certification through the National Association of Health Unit Coordinators, will begin Jan. 7 and be held on Mondays and Tuesdays through May 12. Classes will meet from 5:30-8:30 p.m. in room 208 in the Wayne Learning Center. Cost is $65.
Nurse Aide II still has openings in its day and evening sessions. The course, which prepares students for certification and listing with the N.C. Board of Nursing, meets five days a week for eight weeks beginning March 10 in Room 205 of the Magnolia Building. Cost for the course is $66.30, with day classes held 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. and evening classes from 5:30-8:30 p.m.
A 17-week pharmacy technician course, leading to certification, will be held beginning Jan. 8, offered Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9-noon and 6-9 p.m., with portions also taught online. Cost is $60.
Jan. 22 through May 9, Medical Technology will be offered online, at a cost of $60.
