Phillip Burford of Grove Mount Drive, Greenville reported Monday that a woman he knows bit him several times at an apartment on Randall Lane. Police said Burford was taken for medical attention, but initially declined to seek warrants.
Thefts reported
*Terry Brosi of Coastal Metal reported $1,300 in copper stolen from the U.S. 117 South business on Monday, Goldsboro police said.
*Stacey Hines of Family Dollar on East New Hope Road said a black male weighing about 150 pounds and about 5 feet 3 inches tall with a thin build, about 32 years old, wanted a refund for a comforter set without a receipt, police said. After telling the man he needed a receipt, he threatened Ms. Hines and demanded money. Ms. Hines gave the suspect $200 and he ran out of the store and left in a blue sport utility vehicle that headed west on New Hope Road, police said.
*Lib Coombs of Sears on North Berkeley Boulevard reported a white male in his 30s grabbed an air compressor worth $120 and ran out of the store on Monday evening.
