The holiday season is here, and Christmas is quickly approaching. And towns around the area are ready to march for the occasion -- several of which will come off on the same day.

The Goldsboro Jaycees' annual Christmas parade will be held downtown on Dec. 1 starting at 4 p.m.

Mount Olive, Fremont and Princeton will hold Christmas parades the same day.

Mount Olive's parade will begin at 10 a.m., while Fremont and Princeton's parades begin at 1 p.m.

Pikeville will hold its Dec. 2 at 4 p.m., and Faison's parade will be held Dec. 8 at 4 p.m.

On Dec. 9, Eureka's Christmas parade begins at 3 p.m.

LaGrange will hold its parade on Dec. 6 at 4 p.m.

Cherry Hospital and O'Berry Center will hold their parade Dec. 7 at 3 p.m.

Parkstown will hold its parade Dec. 13 at 3:45 p.m.

Parkstown residents have worked diligently to bring back their event, which was once billed as "the biggest little Christmas parade in the world." Monday is the deadline for entering the Parkstown event. For information on how to enter, call Shirley Perry at 778-0958 or 344-3938.
