Larceny, assault

A Nottingham Drive man is accused of stealing property from Hales Rental in Rosewood and assaulting the theft victim when confronted at N.C. Salvage on U.S. 117 South. Jeffrey Nolan Keen, 43, was charged with larceny, possession of stolen property and assault, authorities said.

Vandalism

Goldsboro police said spray-painted graffiti on buildings, a stop sign and a sign for the Kiwanis miniature train caused $600 in damages at Herman Park.

Thefts

*Joan Mary Rossi of Cuyler Best Road reported that his residence was burglarized Sunday and around $3,600 in valuables stolen, city police said.

*Nelson Riggs of Hinnant Road, Pikeville reported around $4,000 in stolen tools from his property on Monday, the Wayne County Sheriff's Office said.

*Hipolito Garcia Hernandez of Jake Drive, Dudley reported a red 1998 Ford Escort stolen from a grocery store in the 4000 block of U.S. 117 Alternate in Dudley, the Wayne County Sheriff's Office said.
