Armed robbery investigated

*Clifford Allen Davis of Mocksville said he was robbed at gun point in the parking lot at 2100 Wayne Memorial Drive. He said two black men who appeared to be in their 20s approached while he was counting the money, and one of them put a gun to his head demanding the money. The report said the men got away with $600 in cash.

Investigations

*Big Lots officials told Goldsboro police that $2,000 worth of merchandise was stolen from the store located at 1308 W. Grantham St.

*Mary F. Uzzell of West William Street told police she went to pay her cable bill and was informed that three people had tried to use her Social Security number to obtain service.

*Jimmie Taylor of South William Street told police somebody did $130 worth of damage kicking in his door to take $100 worth of items, including cash and an MP4 player.

*Wayne County sheriff's detectives are investigating a break-in at a house on Lancaster Road, Pikeville. The owner, Freya Isis Garriss, said several items were missing from the rental property, including furniture, a washer and dryer, a microwave oven, a chain saw and a brush cutter, all valued at $2,350.
