Armed robberies investigated
*A man walked into the Burger King on North Spence Avenue with a handgun and demanded cash from the cashier, Goldsboro police said. The suspect was described as a black male, between the ages of 16 and 20, about 6 feet 2 inches tall with a medium build, wearing a dark shirt, black pants and a black hat, police said.
*Vanessa Crockett of East Ash Street said she was approached in the 100 block of South Leslie Street by a black male who brandished a handgun and demanded a necklace, police said. The black male had a slim build, short black hair peppered with gray, was about 6 feet 2 inches tall, and looked to be in his early 40s, police said. He carried a silver revolver with a black grip and was wearing a blue and white shirt with blue jeans, police said.
Investigation
Fremont resident Raymond Ballance of Greenville-based Pitt Electric Inc. reported someone cut the lock securing his employer's $600 trailer at a 2000 block Wayne Memorial Drive construction site, Goldsboro police say. The trailer may have been used to steal $1,800 worth of angle iron stolen from a second victim, American South General Contractor of Sanford, police said.
