The Downtown Goldsboro Development Corp. will sponsor its annual Christmas lighting ceremony and festivities Nov. 20, from 5-7 p.m. in front of City Hall.

The mayor will flip the switch to light up the downtown area at 5:30 p.m.

Festivities for the evening include music, free horse-drawn trolley rides, free children's crafts, free hot cocoa and doughnut dipping, hot cider and a Christmas tree and wreath sale. Special guests include Santa Claus, Grinchy Claus and Miss Goldsboro.

The historic Justice and Liberty statues will also be on display throughout the night before they are placed on top of the City Hall building the next day.

There will also be free trolley rides every Tuesday following Lights Up from 6 until 8 p.m. starting in front of historic City Hall.
