Veterans expo Saturday

U.S. Rep. G. K. Butterfield will host a Military and Veterans Informational Resource Expo and Appreciation Awards Luncheon Saturday at the Dillard-Goldsboro Alumni Center at 801 Poplar St., starting at 10 a.m. and lasting until 2:30 p.m., with registration at 9:30 a.m.
The event will include presentations about veterans' benefits from the Department of Veterans Affairs and the Tri-care Service Center. Invited participants also include representatives from the VFW, American Veterans of World War II, Air Force, Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, National Guard, North Carolina Veterans Council, Reserve Officers' Training Corps, the POW/MIA Committee, American Legion, Military Order of the Purple Heart, Vietnam Vets of Foreign Wars, Disabled American Veterans, Marine Corps League and the Employment Security Commission.
