Assault reported
A homeless Goldsboro man reported being beaten with a baseball bat by two black menwhen walking through an open field in the 500 block of South Slocumb Street on Wednesday around 9 p.m., Goldsboro police said. Ralph Croom Jr. was treated and release at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
