Clearing out the sand

Bags of sand are lined along the banks of the Neuse River at the city of Goldsboro’s water intake site. Divers have been having to vacuum the sand at the site in order to keep up with the decreasing water levels. The city takes in about 5.3 million gallons of water per day.
