Locker room theft

Someone stole $485 in personal property from a locker room at Central Heights School on Thursday while a game was taking place, Goldsboro police said.

Theft

R.N. Rouse and Co. officials reported someone crossed over the fence on property owned by the company on Fedelon Trail and stole a Jeep Grand Cherokee and tools, all valued at $6,239.

Arson

James Tyndall of Stevens Mill Road said someone set fire to 30 bales of hay on a field he owns on Swine Road, causing $825 in damages, according to a report filed by the Wayne County Sheriff's Office.

Vandalism

An Eastern Wayne High School employee reported someone vandalized buildings, buses, a scoreboard and the football field.

Accident

Travis Ray Barrow, 27, Third Street, was found lying underneath his moped on the shoulder of Mulberry Street Friday at 11:50 p.m., with helmet a few feet away. At the scene, Barrow reportedly stated that he was in fact driving the moped, but couldn't give any explanation as to what had happened. He was taken to Wayne Memorial Hospital.
