Shooting into vehicle reported
Gerald Meadows of Magnolia reported his 1997 Jeep Cherokee was shot into twice at the intersection of Crawford Street and Olivia Lane, Goldsboro police said. The first shot shattered the rear window of the vehicle, then Meadows made a right turn, and another shot shattered the passenger side rear window. Meadows said he saw a group of subjects standing on Crawford Street.
Thefts investigated
*Jinnie Mitchell of New Hope Road said her car was broken into while it was parked on the 900 block of North Spence Avenue. Police said $850 in goods were reported stolen.
*Jackson Motor Sales said seven dealer license tags, worth an estimated $105, were missing.
*Krystal Nicole Newell of Vanderbilt Circle reported about $1,000 in goods were stolen from her home over the weekend, police said.
