Gran Folklorico de Mexico will not perform in Goldsboro on Friday, Oct. 26, as originally planned due to its members' visas being denied.

According to information the Wayne Community Concerts Association received, this is the first time in 23 years the group members' visas have been denied. They had earlier been approved for this performance.

To make up for the lost concert, Wayne Community Concerts has scheduled a performance by The Duquesne University Tamburitzans of Pittsburgh.

The Tamburitzans is the United States' longest-running multicultural song and dance group. Its 32 young folk artists, all full-time students, are dedicated to the performance and preservation of the music, songs and dances of Eastern Europe and its neighboring folk cultures.

The concert will be held Saturday, Jan. 19. Time and place will be announced later.
