Investigators try to find cause of early morning blaze in county

An arson investigator with the Wayne County Sheriff's Office was on scene at a suspicious Stevens Mill Road house fire this morning, authorities say.
"I think it's safe to say that it's under investigation as a suspicious fire, or we wouldn't be called out there," Maj. George Raecher said.
Occupants of the home "were out of the residence when the fire department arrived," Detective Sgt. Rick Farfour said.
There were no injuries reported by authorities this morning.
The original call came in around 2 a.m., and Raecher said a sheriff's office arson investigator was notified around 6:20 a.m.
The major said County Fire Marshal Bryan Taylor's office made that call to authorities for assistance.
The home at 4210 Stevens Mill Road has a Princeton address, but is still in Wayne County limits, Farfour said. It is owned by Donald Langdon.
It was too early to say what caused the fire, Farfour said.
"It's a pending investigation. Right now, we don't know the cause," Farfour said.
Farfour said arson investigator Robert Golimowski was on the scene collecting samples to be submited to the State Bureau of Investigation for laboratory testing, he said. Damage to the structure was estimated at $60,000.
