Bentonville living history Saturday

A demonstration of open-hearth cooking will be part of a living history demonstration Saturday at Bentonville Battleground.
The Fall Civilian Living History Programwill be held from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. In addition, there will be discussions of the hardships that Southern woman endured on the home front. Other demonstrations include sewing, knitting, candle- making and other activities.
To get to Bentonville Battlefield from Goldsboro, take U.S. 13 South or N.C. 55 to Newton Grove and then take U.S. 701 north to state road 1008. Admission is free. For information, call 1-910-594-0789.
