Investigations
Goldsboro police are investigating these reports:
*Charles Knight of South Slocumb Street reported a break-in at a residence Friday night. Attempts were made to enter through a front door, but the security bar was in place, so instead a window near the front door was broken to gain access. Among items taken were six pairs of shoes, a CD player, amplifier, DVD player, CDs and clothing. Estimated value of the property was $2,300.
*A 2004 black moped was reported stolen from Lincoln Park. Ronnie Price of Washington Park said the moped, though not driveable, was worth $1,500.
*While responding to a report of a break-in Friday night at a business on the 1300 block of W. Grantham Street, police discovered a second incident at the restaurant next door. At China Bowl, a back door was forcibly opened and $300 was taken from the cash register. At Subway, the back door lock was broken and among items taken were a video tape, safe, $3,000 worth of meat and an $800 point of sale machine.
*The front glass door was found broken at White's Accessories on Royall Avenue Friday morning. Edward White reported the theft of $1,500 worth of jeans, $700 worth of polo shirts, $900 worth of shoes, as well as 51 iPods and other assorted clothes and merchandise.
