Walnut Creek Council OKs subdivision

The Village at Walnut Creek Council met Wednesday night and approved the final plat of The Links subdivision.
The Links is a subdivision that will be a part of Walnut Creek and will include more than 300 new houses.
Project Manager Jim Sasser brought the plat in front of the council to ask for approval.
Village Administrator Lou Cook said the plans are in full compliance with village ordinances.
The preliminary plat was approved by the planning commission in January.
In other business, the council discussed calling a special meeting to appoint a new mayor after elections, changing the locations of some stop signs, helping with the duathlon Nov. 3, accepting a fire protection contract and the status of the village's new playground.
