Davis honored by state employees organization

Carolyn Davis, chairman of District 60 of the State Employees Association of North Carolina, received the District of the Year Award at the organization's annual convention held in Greensboro.
She was recognized for her hard work and accomplishments for association at the local and state level during the year.
Ms. Davis, a native of Greenville, has been a member of SEANC for 29 years. In addition to her local district duties, Ms. Davis serves as Eastern Regional Representative.
SEANC President Linda Sutton also presented Ms. Davis with an appreciation plaque.
Ms. Davis has been employed by O'Berry Center for twenty-nine years and is currently the educational-vocational director.
At the district level, she has served as district chairman, vice chairman, by-laws chairman, policy platform chairman and scholarship chairman.
At the state level, Ms.Davis was a member of the State Scholarship Foundation Committee, served as the state policy platform committee chairman as well as the Training Committee Chair. She is a member action team member and career banding chairman
