MOUNT OLIVE -- The Mount Olive Planning Board approved a proposed ordinance Tuesday that would puts new limits on business signs in town if eventually passed by town commissioners.
The ordinance would prohibit off-premises signs within the town limits or its extra-territorial jurisdiction promoting businesses.
The ordinance would not include direction signs less than 20 square feet in size, political signs, highway or historic markers.
