Fire probed

Wayne County sheriff's officials are investigating a mobile home fire that broke out Monday on Pleasant Pines Drive. Mar-Mac firefighters responded to 401 Pleasant Pines Drive and found the home engulfed in flames at about 1:35 a.m. The owner was unknown. However, the fire caused about $50,000 in damage to the double-wide trailer.

Gun theft

Two juveniles were charged with larceny and possession of a stolen firearm following an investigation launched by the Wayne County Sheriff's Office after receiving a report about a stolen firearm.
