Stabbing
Javonnie Donta Langston, 32, of North Carolina Street, said four or five men jumped him while he was walking in the 100 block of Rockfeller Court Saturday afternoon. One of the suspects stabbed him, but he could not give a description of the offenders. Langston was taken by a friend to Wayne Memorial Hospital for treatment.
Thefts reported
*Donnie Hinnant reported someone broke into a rental property he owned in the 1200 block of Atlantic Avenue and stole an air conditioner and heating unit valued at $800.
*John Tart reported someone broke into Happy Days Day Care Center at 106 E. Lockhaven Drive and stole two printers, a computer, sink and handheld radio. The items were valued at $3,960.
*Someone broke into Sarah's Garden at 801 U.S. 70 West Bypass and stole 14 bottles of liquor and nine cartons of cigarettes valued at $633.
*Yvonne Edwards reported someone broke into her home in the 300 block of Whitfield Drive and stole a Sony PlayStation 2 and an X-Box 360. The stolen items were valued at $760.
