Carly Powell blows water through a styrofoam noodle toy while trying to stay cool Tuesday afternoon at the Family Y pool in Mount Olive. The temperature reached the 100-degree mark by mid-afternoon, with a heat index of 108. The high today is expected to again top 100 degrees.
