Armed robberies
*Romantice William King reported a man approached him with a handgun in the 200 block of Swan Street and demanded money. The robber took his Blackberry Nextel cell phone, valued at $500, and $50 and ran.
*William Ray Herring reported a man struck him over the head with a pistol at Best Gas and Grill in Dudley, and stole his wallet, which contained $178. Wayne County EMS responded, but he refused to be transported to the hospital. A family member escorted him to the hospital, officials said.
*Marshell Y. Crawford reported while she was babysitting at a home in the 400 block of Carolina Street she heard a knock at the door. When she opened the door, a man pointed a gun at her and demanded money. He took $100 from her and ran.
Assault
Tomeka Bell alleged someone she knew cut her with a knife at her home in the 100 block of Keith Place. He also tried to hit her with a brick and then pointed a long gun at her, according to the report.
Thefts
*Lucille Best reported someone stole a window air conditioning unit from her apartment in the 700 block of North Taylor Street.
*Jessica Lynn Dunn reported someone stole a window air conditioning unit and a television, all valued at $350, from her home in the 100 block of Michael Street.
*Freyor Isis Garriss reported someone entered her home in the 1500 block of Lancaster Road, Pikeville, and stole a computer, valued at $1,000.
*Linda R. Minshew reported she heard a noise in her home in the 2600 block of Cashwell Drive at about 1:30 a.m. Tuesday, but ignored it. As she got up to get ready for work, she noticed the northside door to her apartment was open. She was not sure if the door was locked, according to police. A purse containing credit cards, $15 and other items was stolen off her dining room table. Nothing else appeared to be disturbed. There was no sign of forced entry, according to the report.
*Kaleshia Faison Ford reported someone broke into her home in the 3200 block of Central Heights Road and stole jewelry, shoes and clothing, all valued at $820.
Vandalism
Someone spray painted the word "GMOD" on three outside walls and the front sign of a business at Wayne Foot Specialist, 207 Lee St. Tuesday. Damage was set at $1,300.
