contest

GREENVILLE -- The Marley Fund's annual cat calendar contest has been extended to July 31 to give more pet owners the chance to get their pet's photo on the 2008 full-color calendar.

The Marley Fund is the only non-profit organization dedicated to striking back at Feline Leukemia and Feline Immunodeficiency viruses, the number one killer of cats.

"We are looking for those priceless moments captured by pet owners," Marley Fund President Joy Eubanks said. "We wish to continue to make our calendar a sought-after item in order to benefit animals residing in our safe haven and to help future feline victims of retroviruses."

Entries should include a brief story about the cat, its name and birthday. Photos must be limited to five per entry and will not be returned.

Entry fee is $10 per animal. Make checks or money orders payable to Marley Fund and mail them to Marley Fund, 1510-208 Wimbledon Way, Greenville, N.C. 27858.
