Theft reported
Business owner Gregg Stevenson reported someone stole the tires and 15-inch aluminum rims, valued at $2,000, off of his 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt while parked outside CCOG, 3300 U.S. Hwy. 70 East Bypass.
Crime of the week
An armed robbery at Burger King at 1901 N. Berkeley Blvd. Sunday has been selected by Goldsboro-Wayne Crime Stoppers as this week's "Crime of the Week."
Three armed men entered the kitchen and office area and demanded money. The robbers held the victims at gunpoint and forced them to lie on the floor. Several of the employees stated that the gunmen held guns to their heads. One of the gunmen had a tattoo of the letter "P" on the inside of his wrist. This may be part of a larger tattoo. The suspect also had on a white T-shirt and black sweat pants. The second suspect had a heavier build than the one with the tattoo. The third suspect had on a black hoodie, black jeans and had a white T-shirt covering his face.
