Sgt. Ron Gosciniak, of the North Carolina National Guard 230th Brigade Support Battalion, puts masking tape around one of the windows on the front of the Waynesbough Historic Village's visitors center Thursday. Maj. William Richards said members of the guard make an effort to get involved in the Goldsboro and Wayne County communities. Volunteer projects like this are held throughout the year, he said.
