Armed robbery
An unknown suspect entered Save More convenience store at 1903 E. Ash St. about 12:30 p.m. Thursday wearing a plastic bag over his nose and mouth and demanded money. The suspect, who was not wearing a shirt, had a black T-shirt around his hand and claimed he had a gun. He took $90 and ran.
Thefts reported
*Someone broke into two vacant homes in the 1000 block of Lincoln Drive owned by the Goldsboro Housing Authority and stole 950 feet of copper wiring and other items, all valued at $2,550.
*Amy Joe Jones said someone entered her car and stole an IPOD, her wallet containing $5, her debit card, checkbook and other items, all valued at $191, while parked at her home in the 1300 block of Park Avenue.
*Someone opened an RA Jeffries Distributing Co. vehicle and stole a half barrel keg, valued at $105.
*Donna Trolinger saidsomeone stolen $500 worth of coil and copper from her air conditioning unit at her home in the 900 block of Mills Road.
*Allen Ray Newkirk said someone stole his lawnmower, valued at $600, from his home in the 100 block of Genoa Lane, Dudley.
*Jacqueline Broadhurst said someone broke into a home in the 700 block of Waters Street and stole a 27-inch television, Sony PlayStation 2, a DVD player, $30 cash and other items, all valued at $930.
