The Association of Educational Office Professionals at Wayne Community College recently honored the campus information specialist and outgoing president during its annual administrator's banquet.
Dr. Edward H. Wilson Jr., who will retire June 30 after 15 years as president, was presented the Administrator of the Year award. The group also donated $250 to the new scholarship established in his name and purchased a brick for the Hope Monument to recognize his tremendous support during his time at the college.
Kay Bradley was named the Educational Office Professional of the Year. A member of North Carolina AEOP for 27 years, Ms. Bradley has served on and chaired every committee and held every office in the local chapter, as well as many at the district and state level. She was the president of District 12 of the NCAEOP for 2005-2006.
The two will now compete at the district level for educational office professional and administrator of the year.
