Suspect in shooting captured

A man wanted for allegedly shooting a Fayetteville man in a Goldsboro neighborhood is now in custody.
Deon Jerrill Mclean, 22, of Elm St., who was wanted for the murder of 22-year-old Antron Hines of Chandler Street, was captured in Greensboro after eluding authorities for nearly a week.
Mclean and his brother, Everette "Little E" Mclean, 26, of Elm Street, are accused of fatally shooting Hines in the 800 block of Olivia Lane.
Goldsboro police responded to Olivia Lane and Crawford Street at about 7 p.m. June 5. Upon arrival, they found Hines lying in the yard between 803 and 805 Olivia Lane suffering from a gunshot wound to the back.
Hines was taken to Wayne Memorial Hospital, where he later died.
The murder occurred just 40 minutes after a mini shooting spree in the 500 block of Elm Street in which Hines' 17-year-old brother, Jaquan Hines, and Shawntana Thompson, 18, were shot and a woman's car damaged. No charges have been filed in those cases.
Several witnesses identified the suspects who shot Antron Hines, which led to the speedy capture of Everette Mclean.
Everette Mclean was arrested around midnight Wednesday. However, Deon Mclean fled the area.
Deon Mclean was found in Guilford County and brought back to Wayne County Monday to answer the murder charge, police said. Agents of State Bureau of Investigations assisted with Deon Mclean's capture.
