WCC golf tournament this week

Wayne Community College will host its 15th annual benefit golf tournament this week, with outgoing President Ed Wilson as featured speaker at the opening dinner.
It is also the 15th year of the presidency for Wilson, who retires June 30.
Tournament events begin Tuesday afternoon with a practice round at Lane Tree Golf Club. Players can still sign up to play in Wednesday event for $125 per person. Hole sponsorships are also available.
The public is invited to the reception and silent auction at the clubhouse Tuesday. It begins at 5:30, followed by dinner provided by Outback Steakhouse and entertainment by Brent Hood. For more information, call 735-5151.
