Armed robbery

At about 1 a.m. Saturday, three men used guns to rob three people as they were trying to leave a parking lot on the 1900 block of North William Street. Jennifer Ureka, Dennis Simerly and Kevin Kenny told Goldsboro police officers that they were trying to leave the parking lot in Miss Ureka's 2006 Nissan Pathfinder when they were approached by three black men wearing blue and red bandanas over their mouths. The suspects pulled out guns and demanded money from Miss Ureka, Simerly and Kenny. The three gave the suspects $120 in cash and a Sprint Katana cell phone valued at $300. When the suspects tried to grab Miss Ureka's purse and car keys, she told officers that she put the car in reverse. After fleeing the parking lot, Miss Ureka said the suspects fired one shot into the car's right rear window causing $150 in damages. No one was reported injured in the shooting. The victims said the suspects looked like they were in their 20s.
