Assault
Anita Chante White reported a woman she knew attacked her as she returned to her home in the 1700 block of Edgerton St. about 1:42 a.m. today. Ms. White told She suffered several cuts and was taken to Wayne Memorial Hospital for treatment, where she was listed in good condition.
Break-ins
*Someone broke into W.A. Foster Recreation Center at 516 S. Leslie St., and stole a computer and fax machine, $2,250.
*Someone broke into the shed of Central Lunch at 103 Center St., and made entry into Goldsboro Drug about 1:50 a.m. today. An unknown amount of medicine was stolen during the break-in.
Accidents
*Three people were injured in an accident Saturday on Cashwell Drive. Reba Hall Harris, 46, of Pebble Circle was involved in an accident with a a vehicle driven by Yolanda Wendetta Thompson, 32, of Boxwood Lane. Ms. Harris, Ms. Thompson and Ms. Thompson's passenger, Anthony Martiny Rouse, 46, were taken to Wayne Memorial Hospital. All were treated and released. Ms. Thompson was cited for a safe movement violation. Total damage was set at $6,000.
*Two people were injured in an accident Friday on U.S. 117 South. Perry Montgomery Bright, 78, of Seven Springs, was driving a Buick and James Melvin Purdee II, 36, of Warsaw was riding a motorcycle. Purdee and his passenger, Cameron Lee Purdee, 15, were treatd at Wayne Memorial Hospital . Purdee was cited for failure to reduce speed. Damage was set at $3,500.
