Assaults reported

*Edward Puga reported someone assaulted him with a wrench at his home in the 300 block of Mobile Circle, Dudley, knocking him unconscious Sunday. Puga, 21, was taken to Wayne Memorial Hospital, where he was treated and released. The suspect identified as Julio Lobos, 24, Mobile Circle, Dudley was charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury in the case, according to a Wayne County sheriff's report. Bond was set at $50,000 bond.

*A man lunged at Wayne County Sheriff's Deputy Jayson Lee Hill with a broken beer bottle Tuesday at Nelson Smith Trailer Park. No injuries were reported. The suspect identified as Ramone Perez, 48, Nelson Smith Trailer Park was charged with assault on a law enforcement officer, according to a Wayne County sheriff's report. Bond was set at $18,000.

Break-ins

*Willie Mae Devaughn reported someone broke into his home in the 600 block of Oleander Drive and stole a TV/DVD player, DVD, 26-inch mountain bike and CD player, all valued at $495.

*Someone broke into the Swop Shop, 510 S. George St., and stole a generator and chainsaw, all valued at $499.90.

*Dennis Ray Wanamaker reported someone broke into his barn in the 100 block of Hines Drive and stole a lawnmower, a 10-speed bicycle and other items, all valued at $359.

*Terrance Lorenzo Thomas reported someone broke into his home in the 2200 block of Koonce St. and stole a Sony PlayStation 2, tennis shoes, shorts and a shirt, all valued at $545.

Thefts

*Joseph Gabe Williford reported someone stole $650 from his wallet while he was at McDonald's, 100 Claridge Nursery Road.

*Someone stole $350 in gum and candy from Down East Travel Center, 2600 S. U.S. 117.

Arson suspected

Someone set a Ford tow truck owned by Timothy Allen Williams on fire in the 1100 block of Faro Road, Fremont. Damage was set at $7,000.
