Dominique Lavon Smith reported someone robbed him at gunpoint at his home in the 600 block of Beech Street and stole his Sony PlayStation 2, his cordless phone and his cell phone, all valued at $650.
Man charged with
making threats
Wayne County Human Resources Director Sue Guy reported Monday that a man walked into her office at 100 Ormond Ave. and threatened to blow it up. The man then went to the Veterans Affairs Office on Chestnut Street and threatened to blow the office up. The suspect, who was identified, was reportedly under a physician's care for stress. No charges have been filed.
Break-ins reported
*John Quency Howell reported someone broke into his white 1989 Honda Accord while parked in the 1800 block of Dogwood Street and stole a car stereo and other items, all valued at $145.
*Someone broke into Eastern Wayne Middle School on Central Heights Road on Monday and stole $50 and keys to the school.
*Lisa Marie Davis reported someone broke into her home in the 100 block of Hope Boulevard and stole $200 and a lock box.
*Shain Arlan Szekely reported someone broke into his home in the 200 block of Sheridan Forest Road and stole a Sony PlayStation 2, XBox, video games and 70 DVD movies, all valued at $1,500.
