Spring Creek wins music awards

Spring Creek High School band and choir, under the direction of Matthew Andrade, recently won seven awards at the Music In The Parks Festival Competition held in South Carolina.
Eight schools competed.
Spring Creek's awards included first place in the categories of high school concert band, with superior score; show choir with an excellent score; high school parade/marching band, with superior score; mixed choir, with excellent score; and jazz ensemble, with superior score.
The choir also won an overall award, and Dion Beary was named outstanding soloist.
