Drug raid
Agents of the Goldsboro-Wayne County Drug Squad raided an apartment at 815 1/2 E. Walnut St. on Friday and rounded up two suspected drug offenders. Carolyn Best Stevens, 46, was charged with maintaining a dwelling for keeping and selling a controlled substance; and Victor Marcus Bass, 21, of William Hooker Drive, Hookerton, was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to sell and deliver. Goldsboro-Wayne Crime Stoppers and the Goldsboro Police Support Services assisted in the investigation and search of the residence.
