Anthropologists honor MOC's Dyer

MOUNT OLIVE -- Dr. Christopher L. Dyer of Goldsboro has been approved to the status of Fellow with the Society for Applied Anthropology. He is the dean of the School of Arts and Sciences and professor of anthropology at Mount Olive College.
The honor is based on experience and seniority within the society. Election to Fellow status was came at a recent meeting of the society's board of directors. Those who attain the position are a source of expert advice and counsel for the board and offices, and are often sought after when selecting committee members and nominees for the board.
Dyer earned his bachelor of arts degree in anthropology, bachelor of science degree in biology and master of arts degree in anthropology degree from the University of Arizona and a master of science degree in biology from the University of Alabama. He also holds a doctorate degree in anthropology from Arizona State University.
He is married to Cynthia Dyer.
