Break-ins
*Someone broke into a Pet Dairy Products truck in the 1100 block of North William Street and stole $1,100 worth of ice cream products. During a previous theft, thieves stole 30 dozens of eggs and 20 cases of "coolie" drinks, all valued at $55.
*Someone broke into Modern Housing on U.S. 70 East and stole a 19-inch television/VCR. Damage was set at $410.
*Anthony Phillips reported someone broke into his apartment in the 200 block of New Hope Road and stole an X-Box and radio equipment. Damage was set at $1,700.
*Cameron Thomas Jenkins reported someone broke into his home in the 2200 block of Koonce Street and stole a laptop computer, Ninento Game Cube, video games and a laptop carrying case, all valued at $2,990.
Assault
*Guillermo Lopez reported someone knocked him in the mouth with a metal pipe during a fight on Saturday causing him to lose one of his teeth. Lopez was transported to Wayne Memorial Hospital and treated for a cut on his lip.
Accidents
*Five people were injured in a two-car accident on Lionel Street and Park Avenue Friday afternoon. Gregory Lee East, 23, of U.S. 70 West, and his three passengers, Amanda Kay East, 21, Nathan East, 11 months old and Natalie Whitley, 2, and Brown, 62, of Park Avenue, were taken by ambulance to Wayne Memorial Hospital. The injuries were non-life threatening. Damage was set at $6,000.
*Dennis Gerrad Cooper said a vehicle ran into the back of his 1994 Chevrolet while he was stopped at a stop light on Spence Avenue and Mall Road about 11:30 a.m. Friday. The driver of the 1985 Chevrolet vehicle who struck Cooper's vehicle ran from the scene. The driver was described as a Hispanic man. No other identify information was available. The vehicle was registered to Jenell Poter Thompson of Liddell Road, Seven Springs, police said. Damage to Cooper's vehicle was set at $400. No injuries were reported.
