Shot into home
The Wayne County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting into the home of a disabled woman sometime after 11:15 p.m. Wednesday causing about $250 damage to the woman's house on Ruskin Road in Dudley. The type of weapon used is unknown.
Break-in
The Goldsboro Police Department is investigating a report that thieves broke into a storage barn inside a fenced area at the Eastern Regional Vocational Rehabilitation facility, 902 Corporate Drive, stole $1,725 worth of equipment and broke out the window out of a 1986 Chevrolet custom pick-up truck on their way out.
Total damage to the barn doors, padlock and the truck window came to an estimated $1,285. Items taken included three Weedeaters, hedge clippers, a chainsaw, a hand blower and a backpack blower.
