Cinco de Mayo celebration Saturday at Waynesborough

A Cinco de Mayo Festival Saturday at the Waynesborough Historical Village will feature Latin music, dancing, food, games, a health fair and a car show
The festival, sponsored by the Hispanic Community Development Center, will be held from noon until 5 p.m.
Registration for the car show, sponsored by Doug Henry Pontiac GMC, will begin at 9 a.m. Judging will be at 1:30 p.m., and trophies will be presented at 3 p.m.
An opening ceremony at noon will be followed by the Los Deltos band at 12:30 p.m. and the Baile Folklorico Espititu Hispano Americano dance group from Kinston at 12:45 p.m. The band will play again at 1 p.m. The dance group will perform again at 1:15 p.m.
At 2 p.m., there will be a demonstration by the Hwarang Warrior Martial Arts School.
Children will burst open Pinatas at 3, 3:30 and 4 p.m.
At 3:15 and 3:45 p.m., the Expression of Panama dance group will perform.
At 4 p.m., the Banda Relajo will perform.
