Mount Olive Wal-Mart opening

MOUNT OLIVE -- The new Wal-Mart in Mount Olive will opens its doors for the first time Monday at 6 p.m. for business leaders to preview the store, and a grand opening celebration will be held at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday,with doors opening for shoppers at 8 a.m.
The new store is located at 308 N.C. 55 west of town.
Land preparation started last summer and progressed quickly through the year, with crews some time working round the clock putting up the 153,000- square-foot store.
Meanwhile, work at the site of another Wal-Mart on U.S. 70 in Rosewood continues. That store will have more than 200,000 square feet of floor space and is expected to open in early 2008.
