Disabilities Awareness Walk set for May 9

The 11th Annual Hal Plonk Disability Awareness Walk will be held at 10 a.m. May 9 beginning and ending at St. Paul United Methodist Church, 204 E. Chestnut St.
Line up will be around 9:45 a.m., and the Dillard Middle School Band will lead the parade under the leadership of Janet Barnes.
The walk was named after former Goldsboro Mayor Hal Plonk, who was instrumental in promoting the Mayor's Committee for Persons with Disabilities,
Any group can set up a booth at the walk by calling Scottie Weathers at 731-4315.
