Armed robbery

Zelma Winslow told Goldsboro police Wednesday that an unknown man approached her while she was sitting in her vehicle in the 1200 block of Ash Street and asked for a light for his cigarette. The suspect pulled out a handgun and demanded her purse. He then ran south on Audubon Avenue. The purse contained $1,500.

Break-ins

*William Andrew Megginson told Wayne County sheriff's deputies Tuesday that someone broke into a storage unit in the 200 block of Peachtree Drive and stole two motorcycles valued at $2,650.

*Daniel Ray Summers told Goldsboro police Wednesday that someone broke into his home in the 1700 block of Dogwood Street and stole an X-Box 360, games and a back pack. Damage was set at $800.

*Cassandra Barnes Silver told Goldsboro police Wednesday that someone broke into her home on Second Street and stole a DVD player, laptop computer, CD player and CDs, all valued at $1,210.
