A jar of Mt. Olive Pickles has been hidden in Mount Olive. In the coming weeks, clues like these will be printed that will lead someone to the location of the pickles.
*Patti, let's hope it won't be too hot since we will have bowls and bowls of chocolate covered pickles at the festival
*Take a photograph of the pig and duck races, Keith King bike stunts, mechanical bull, water wars, petting zoo and Mr. Crisp
*Score some points with the Batten Singers as they provide musical entertainment at the festival
*Sonya, listen for the bell to ring and then run as fast as you can in the 5K Cucumber Patch race.
*There won't be a ship, but there will lots of cars on display and be sure to check out all of the fancy wheels on them
*It's OK if the glass gets stained because we can put some special pickle polish on it and the Lions Club Vision Van will help us all to have a better vision.
*Kim, don't forget to bring your fishing line, buoys, and duck decoys when you visit the pickle pond in the children's area
*You won't need to dress up, wear sequined shoes, and bring a fancy purse to dance to the tunes of the Band of Oz
*Put down those comic books and enjoy the pay one price carnival rides on Friday night
The pickles will be labeled, "You are a winner in the N.C. Pickle Festival Treasure Hunt." The winner should bring the winning jar to the Mount Olive Area Chamber of Commerce and receive a pickle pack donated by the Mt. Olive Pickle Co.
