The Wayne County Historical Association is seeking executive committee members to help run the museum.
The Association elected Preston Garris to a full two-year term as president and Jane Rustin of the Wayne County Public Library as vice president this week during its regular meeting. Megan Wilson, who also works at the library, was elected second vice president, and Steve Bryan was given another term as third vice president.
But the 20 association members present had not been able to find a secretary or a treasurer. Member Emily Weil said they need at least another four or five people to serve on the Executive Committee in addition to the six officers.
The association will meet at 5 p.m. on May 8 to elect the rest of its officers. The regular meeting will follow at 5:30 p.m.
In other business, the association voted to have museum manager Johnna Nelson re-install the Wall of Fame, which had been taken down to make room for another exhibit.
Association member Barbara Hatch said the Wall of Fame, which was popular among members of the community, should not be taken down again.
Museum manager Johnna Nelson told association members the scavenger hunt that began earlier in the day was a success. She had 67 children come through on the first day.
