Drug arrest
Agents of the Goldsboro-Wayne County Drug Task Force arrested one suspected drug dealer during an undercover operation in Dudley this week. Francisco Vera, 37, of U.S. 117 South Alternate, Dudley, faces charges of possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, sale and deliver cocaine and possession of cocaine on jail premises in the case. Agents seized an unspecified amount cocaine with a street value of $400 during the bust. Vera was being held at the Wayne County Jail on a $75,000 bond.
Break-ins
Wayne County sheriff's officials are investigating these reports;
*Genia Louise Taylor reported someone broke into her home in the 900 block of Antioch Road and stole two Sony PlayStations, one X-Box, 40 DVDs and other items, all valued at $1,750.
*Matthew Ryan Mayer reported someone broke into his home in the 1600 block of N.C. 111 North and stole a laptop computer, two rifles and one gun, all valued at $2,500.
