Free childbirth classes planned

A six-week series of free childbirth preparation classes is scheduled to begin April 24 at the Partnership for Children office, 800 N. William St. The classes, from 6 to 8 p.m., will provide information on prenatal nutrition; stages of pregnancy; labor, delivery and recovery; pain management; breastfeeding; and parent resources.
The series will be conducted by trained professionals and will include in-depth presentations and a tour of the hospital birthing facility. Mothers are encouraged to bring fathers or other support persons.
