Goldsboro Mayor Al King gives a thumbs-up before his first ride in an F-15E on Tuesday. Even though he's a retired lieutenant colonel and has piloted other planes, this was King's first flight in a Strike Eagle. The flight, piloted by 4th Fighter Wing Commander Col. Steve Kwast, lasted an hour and a half and the two flew over the mountains of West Virginia and the New River.
