The Partnership for Children is currently taking orders for its third annual Lobster Fest, to be held on Friday, May 4.
Tickets are currently on sale for $25 each and the public is invited to order them in advance.
Proceeds go to provide fellowships for child care teachers continuing their education at Wayne Community or Mount Olive colleges. The funding helps the workers better afford the cost of a higher education and in turn improve the child care quality.
The tickets cover a 1.25 lb. Maine lobster, with the option of getting shrimp instead. Food can be picked up on May 4 between 2 and 4 p.m. at the Partnership office, 800 N. William St. Lobsters will be available live or cooked and shrimp can be ordered raw or boiled.
All orders must be placed by April 25.
Individual tickets are available. The Partnership is also looking for families to hold lobster parties in their homes and invite guests to purchase tickets. A portion of the ticket price is tax deductible.
For more information or to order tickets, contact Patty Huffman at the Partnership for Children at 735-3371, Ext. 223.
